UA Fleet Management recognizes the need to start the transition to cleaner transportation. Zero-Emissions Vehicles are a crucial factor in making this ‘go green’ transition for a more sustainable future for the University of Alabama’s campus.

All-electric vehicles are propelled by electric motors and powered by rechargeable battery packs making them energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The current market has made several improvements by offering more power and a longer distance between charges. The electric vehicle option creates a lower carbon footprint over the course of the vehicle’s lifetime compared to cars and vans that use traditional, internal combustion engines.

UA Fleet currently offers two electric vehicle options in fleet purchasing. Chevy Bolt and Ford E Transit (with two different height options).

Please contact Fleet Management at 348-8798 for more information about ordering the electric vehicle option.

The fully electric Powertrain features a single-speed transmission and RWD electric motor that is powered by a 68 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack with a targeted range* of 126 miles on the low roof cargo van model, helping to ensure you’ll arrive smoothly to and from each job site.
